Ebay item 3/30/21

www.ebay.com/itm/1965-Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-Series-I-Coupe/384067999267

Complete VIN on this car is J651E30513

Opening bid US $67,125 reserve not met 0 bids, 6 days left in auction buy it now price $89,500 seller westcoastclassics, 45k miles.

Seller's description:

West Coast Classics are proud to present an extraordinarily rare and virtually rust free genuine 'barn find' example of this coveted original southern California 1965 Jaguar XKE E-Type Series I coupe with a highly desirable 4 speed manual transmission and with it's original matching #'s 4.2L 265HP 6 cylinder engine with original triple SU carburetors in it's original 'Opalescent Silver Blue' factory color paint and with its faded but all original 'Light Blue/Gray' leather interior with wooden steering wheel, original California 'Black License Plates' and original five factory chrome wire knock-off wheels & original mallet!

This is a truly marvelous mostly all original and stock example of this coveted first series of E-Type Jaguars, with the legendary glass covered headlights, small 'mouth' opening at the front, 4.2L liter engine with the triple SU carburetors, aircraft style toggle switches and rear tail and signal lamps positioned handsomely above the chrome rear bumper!

It is also of considerable note that this fine example has been under only two southern California family ownership since new! So here it is, a completely unrestored, apart from one older repaint in it's original 'Opalescent Silver Blue' factory color paint, original southern California 1965 Jaguar XKE E-Type Series 1 Coupe with the 4 speed manual transmission coupe and with it's all original interior & original matching #'s 6 cylinder 4.2/265HP engine & transmission with four original Jaguar chrome knock off spoked wire wheels, handbooks and spare chrome wire wheel! The car is reported to have only some 45K original miles by its previous long time owners who reportedly purchased the car over thirty years ago from its original southern California owners and who had stored it in their dry southern California enclosed garage, with it being used only sparingly in recent years! We recently purchased the car from an agent for the second southern California owners and the car shows obvious signs of "pride of ownership" and drives very well indeed.

The car has a razor straight and is a virtually rust free California car apart from some very minor bubbling in the rear end assembly; it is a prime candidate for a full cosmetic restoration for the Jaguar enthusiast or simply a great daily driver for any classic British sports car lover! The floor boards and all the typical rust-prone areas are completely solid, original and rust-free! The car has no signs of any accidents of any kind and has a razor straight body and sports its original factory 'Opalescent Silver Blue' color older repaint which has some light scratches and a couple of small dents and imperfections from its many years spent 'unattended' in the garage and yet the car's all original leather interior is still quite impressive with both front bucket seats, the door panels, headliner, dashboard and carpets all quite original and in very presentable condition throughout. Please note the car also has it's original spare wire knock off wheel in the trunk. This is therefore an extremely rare opportunity for the Jaguar or British classic sports car enthusiast who is looking to buy a great and mostly all original and unrestored rust free example of an original southern California 1965 Jaguar XKE Series I 4.2L coupe with its highly desirable matching #'s engine and 4 speed manual transmission with believed to be only some 45K original miles the perfect potential candidate for the enthusiast to restore all the way to its former glory or simply a great daily driving 'barn find' for any classic sports car collector!
