Ebay item 4/16/16
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-Series-1-5-Coupe-/182094765646
Current bid US $1,000 reserve not met 1 bid 6 days left in auction, buy it now price $43,000, seller automaniacs_calgary, Calgary, Alberta, 125k miles.
Sellers description:
Automaniacs is proud to present this stunning E-Type Series 1.5 coupe with 125,000 original miles. This is a two owner Canadian car, originally purchased in Toronto. It was originally Primrose Yellow and the first owner painted it the current silver colour back in the 1990's. The second owner from Vancouver has had the car since 2000 (mileage was around 94,000 miles at that time) and has been used the car as a daily driver the spring and summer months for the past 15 years. She's running really well, starts every time and is quite the head turner wherever she goes.
Everything except the paint and obvious wear n' tear items (tires, spark plugs, gaskets, filters etc.) are original. She is starting to show her almost 50 years of service but this is a numbers matching car, certified by Jaguar heritage Trust and an excellent investment opportunity. Fully restored concourse cars are selling well over $100,000 USD
She has recently (last week) been mechanically inspected and had an oil and filter service. Also scheduled for an alignment next week. The inspection report, all service records from 2000 to present, the original bill of sale and Heritage Certificate are available at your request.
Chassis No. 1E 35541
Engine No. 7E 17395-9

Chip in windshield (see photos on our website)
Interior leather and carpet are signs of wear (see photos on our website)
2 minor dents in roof
1 minor dent on drivers side quarter
Right rear wheel is showing signs of rust
Front tires will need replacement soon
Right hand rack boot will need replaced soon
Bushings on rear sway bar will need replaced soon
Undercarriage could use a good steam cleaning due to grease and dirt.

This is a numbers matching car, certified by Jaguar Heritage Trust. This is an exceptionally straight, rust free car. This Jag is nice and original underneath. All original panels, no patches, just factory sheet metal. This XKE has never been in an accident, so the gaps are still excellent. The car comes with a clear title!

Car returns to ebay 2/26/20
www.ebay.com/itm/1968-Jaguar-E-Type-XKE/233506406193
Current bid: $11,400 reserve not met 17 bids 6 days left in auction, seller willie1996860, car now said to be in West Hartford, Connecticut, 125k miles.
Seller's description:
This 1968 Jaguar XKE Fixed Head Coupe is a Series 1.5 driver that is powered by its original 4.2L inline-six and 4-speed manual gearbox as confirmed by an included Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate. The mechanicals have been updated for reliability with a newer alternator, electronic ignition, stainless steel exhaust, and rebuilt blower motor system. Service records date back to 2000 and total over $35k.
The paint looks nice but is beginning to show its age with chips on the nose and a group of small bubbles on the hood as detailed in the image gallery below. The body looks straight but does have two small dents on the roof and one dent on the driver’s rear quarter. The grille area is said to have some minor filler, but no other body repairs or accident damage have been found by the seller. A small chip is noted on the windshield.
Chrome trim and bumpers look bright and appear to have been re-plated by a previous owner. The stock wire wheels are in good condition, with some minor corrosion evident on the right rear small-eared knockoff hub. The car is equipped with independent coil spring rear suspension with torsion bars, and the standard four-wheel disc brakes are said to work as they should. The car is said to track straight and handle well.
The interior is unrestored with its original black leather upholstery and wood-rimmed steering wheel. The seats and carpets are showing some wear from age and the leather on the center console is cracked. The original Smith gauges have clear faces and are said to function correctly. The rear cargo area is in good shape and houses the original spare wheel, jack, and toolkit in a compartment underneath.
The original 4.2L twin cam inline six-cylinder features its stock triple SU carburetors that were unique to the Canadian version of the Series 1.5. Original Primrose Yellow paint can still be seen in the engine bay. The engine is said to start easily, pull strong, and was advertised at producing 265bhp when new.
Over $35k in receipts and service records have been provided from her 16 years of ownership. The major work included:
July 2011 – Transmission rebuilt with new syncros, new clutch and U-joints, engine stabilizer bushings replaced, and stainless steel exhaust system installed
August 2012 – New fuel tank
August 2012 – New electric cooling fan, engine front seals, and sump seals.
September 2014 – New fuel pump, solid state electronic ignition system, and upgraded alternator.
July 2015 – New U-joints, hub bearings, and seals.
August 2016 – New clutch and release bearing, exhaust manifolds, and engine and transmission mounts.
July 2018 – New front brake rotors, pads, front bearings, seals, and hoses.
