Sellers description:
68 E-type coupe all numbers matching and runs and drives great. I am the 3rd owner of this car and I have taken great care of it as well as have all the service records from the previous owners as well. The car has a nicely rebuilt 4.2 liter as well as transmission. Recently the carbs were rebuilt the vehicle drives and idles as it should. There are no leaks of any kind on the car. i would classify this Jag as a solid #2 condition car. It's not perfect but it also wouldn't need anything unless a person is looking for a concourse vehicle. The interior is original with minor wear.

This 1968 E-Type 2+2 was imported to the U.K from Kentucky, USA 2 years ago. All numbers match in accordance with its heritage certificate. Since then it has undergone a total strip down restoration. The body shell underwent replacement and repair to the nearside floor foot well, nearside rear light area and bonnet hinge frame section. All suspension, front and rear axles were removed cleaned, replaced or renovated and painted where required, as were the front wheels. The brakes and all hydraulic pipes were removed, repaired and renovated, as was the interior and dashboard. All the wiring loom was removed, as was the tank.

The bodywork was totally refinished and painted in accordance with its original specifications and colour. Following this, the vehicle was then reassembled and all axles and suspension were repaired, renovated, and replaced. All of the wiring loom was replaced with new, as was the dashboard, modifying the vehicle to a right hand drive specification. Lighting was changed to new right hand drive units, as was all indicator and side lights. New bumpers were fitted and the exhaust system was changed to a new stainless steel unit, with new enamelled exhaust manifolds. The twin Stromberg carburettors were replaced with triple SU carburettors, as per original specification, and increasing the 4.2 engine’s horse power. Once the restoration was completed the car was U.K registered, but it has not been used so it is offered for sale for a new owner to enjoy.
