Sold by Vintage and Prestige Cars of Northampton in October 2021. Amended seller's description below
www.vandp.net/sales/2188/1970-jaguar-e-type-series-2-ots-4-2-litre/

E Type Series 2 4.2l ots. A fresh nut and bolt restoration to the highest standards. The brief was to find a structurally sound car as the basis for restoration. It was found in California in tired but solid original rust free order. The car has covered less than 500 miles since completion. A full photographic restoration book comes with the car.

It was shipped to the UK and after a massive year and a half, restoration completed. Everything that can be done has been done including disassembling the gearbox, renewing the bearings and synchromesh. As part of the brief the car was converted from left hand drive to right hand drive.

It is finished in metallic Gunmetal paintwork with a deep Maroon interior. The car wants for nothing. The restoration was undertaken by E Type experts, Automo to the highest standards. The car sits on 4 new chrome wire wheels shod with new tyres with knock off spinners. All chrome and brightwork has been redone to as new, a new mohair hood completes the ensemble.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
