Car to be at auciton 7/20

www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2020-07-18/cars/ref-139-1972-jaguar-e-type-s ...

Auction description:

Windsorview Lakes July 18th 2020

Lot 203 - 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series III Roadster

Registration MPB 189k

Chassis Number 1S1250

Engine Number 7S5710-SB

Odometer reading 29,997 miles

Estimate £76,000 - £88,000

Only 29,997 miles from new

Genuine UK supplied righthand drive example

Originally registered on 20th March 1972 this E-Type has been owned within the same family since 1979. Presenting in outstanding condition, the paintwork was refreshed in 2015 and the car has recently been serviced, at the same time the fuel tank and fuel lines were all cleaned out. The mileage of 29,997 is warranted and the condition of the car is certainly commensurate with such a low mileage. Finished in Primrose Yellow with black interior, this Jaguar Roadster sits proudly on wire wheels and is fitted with a manual gearbox. The car is supplied with a V5C registration document and a full years MoT test certificate together with a history folder. The Series III derivative of the E-Type is becoming ever more popular due to the sheer drivability it offers and we believe this is one of the best examples available on the market.

Genuine UK supplied right hand drive example

Manual gearbox

Very low mileage for the year

This delightful genuine UK supplied right hand drive E-Type was originally registered in March 1972 and presents in outstanding condition. The paintwork was refreshed to a high standard in 2015 and the car has been lovingly cared for from a mechanical point of view. The vendor is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic collector with a garage of eight high quality motor vehicles. Finished in primrose yellow with black leather interior, the condition of the car is certainly commensurate with such a low mileage. This car sits proudly on wire wheels and is fitted with the desirable manual gearbox. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a history folder, this is a wonderful example of the classically dynamic design and it still is a head turner today.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
