I bought this car in Oct 2009. 2 previous owners. Very original with no rust and no welding.
Only 37000 miles which according to the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club technical expert, Ken Jenkins looks genuine.
I shall be fitting a 5 speed box this winter and also rebuilding the engine, just because I want to!! (I am an Engineer)

For sale at Arun Independent Jaguar and Performance car Dealers of Pulborough for £149,995. Seller's description below.

This Jaguar E Type Series 1 roadster was first registered on 22 May 1964 to Mr T Cookson of London by H R Owen Limited. The Jaguar Heritage certificate accompanying this car confirms that it retains the same colour scheme today that was originally supplied, from the gleaming Cream paintwork down to the black leather with white piped seats. As far as we can determine this is a matching numbers vehicle when compared with the V5 and Jaguar Heritage certificate.

From 2011 to 2015 the car was kept in the J C Bamford collection and then acquired by the last keeper from Lord Bamford. This most recent keeper, who is local to us, at acquisition consigned the car to Brazell Engineering for recommissioning work. The details of the work are on file and the total cost was almost £20,000. In November 2016 Brazell Engineering rebuilt the triple SU carburettors. The car has subsequently been entrusted to us for maintenance, alongside routine servicing we have carried out rust inhibition treatment and replace the rear wheel bearings.

The car's file shows that during the period 2003 to 2009 the car had good routine maintenance at the hands of its owner over those six years, as there are a number of invoices on file from recognised E Type spare parts distributors and we assume that as a Jaguar Enthusiasts Club member he did much of the labour himself.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
