Sellers description:
Jaguar 1963 XKE Series 1 3.8 FHC Coupe (2 seater) original color was silver blue with black interior. An original California e-type same Northern California owner last 20+ years. Car needs complete restoration! Good news is the car is fairly complete, not very rusty and an original California Black license plate example. Bad news is besides needing complete restoration the car has a fair amount of bondo (body filler) on the body and although it has an original early e-type 3.8 it is not the matching engine. VIN# 887783 ORIGINAL ENGINE# R8949-9 ENGINE IN CAR R7418-9. Car was actually running last August when owner decided to remove engine for another project at that time installed the engine that is presently in car. The engine is seized and will need to be rebuilt. This car is a project and on the rough side. However it is fairly complete and restorable. Being sold with bill of sale only as title was lost.
