This 1972 Jaguar E-Type is a Series III 2+2 powered by a numbers-matching 5.3-liter V12 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The car was acquired by its current owner 14 years ago, and a repaint in British Racing Green was reportedly performed in 2009. Maintenance in 2018 is said to have included new coolant hoses and fluids as well as a vacuum leak repair. This Series III E-Type is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with records to 2004, a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, and a clean Idaho title.

The 2+2 body was reportedly repainted in its original color of British Racing Green in 2009. The seller reports that door dings were removed prior to the paintwork.

Exterior features include dual center exhaust outlets and chrome bumpers with rubber overriders. Chrome 15″ wire wheels wear 215/65 Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S rubber date coded from 2008.

The 4-seat cabin is trimmed in beige leather with matching carpets, door panels, and headliner. The driver’s headrest has lost its form, and wear on the front upholstery.

The 3-spoke Jaguar steering wheel wears an aftermarket wrap and sits ahead of a black dash with late-model rocker switches. The car is equipped with factory air conditioning and a period radio remains mounted in the center stack. Smiths instrumentation includes a 5-digit odometer showing 33k miles, about 8,500 of which were added by the late owner in 14 years.

The 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with four Zenith carburetors and a Pertronix electric ignition system. Service in July 2018 reportedly included repair of a vacuum leak, a coolant flush, installation of new hoses, and an oil change.

Engine block number 7S 7755 SB confirmed original by the included Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission.

The Jaguar Trust Heritage Certificate shows the original numbers and colors, a production date of June 19, 1972, and US delivery.
