Car returns to ebay 6/23/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-SIII-2-2-NO-RESERVE-2-owners-and- ...
Current bid $6,766, no reserve, 4 bids 9 days left in auction. Car still in Houston.

Sellers description:
Two owners - 29,000 original miles
1972 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 V12
Chassis No. UC1S73720BW
Engine No. S7243SA

An incredible preservation class E-type!
Factory A/C, Wire Wheels, Jack and Knock off Hammer
Just 2 owners and 29,000 miles from new!
Jaguar Heritage Trust Certified - matching #'s and colors!
Much recent service completed!

Offered here is a highly original Series III 2+2 finished in British Racing Green over Suede Green leather trim well equipped with chrome wire wheels, factory A/C and automatic transmission. In 2010 we purchased this car from its original owner who owned a European Car Service specialty shop in NJ. He always kept this car in tip top shape and had it stored in a climate controlled garage with his collection of great Ferarris and vintage Fords. We then sold it to an older gentleman here in Houston (second owner) whom dreamed of having a good original E-type. He had our service department to go through the car bumper to bumper to ensure he had a strong and reliable driver. Upgrades included the installation of an Aluminum radiator and Petronix ignition. Everything was done to preserve the original condition of the car. All service records are included with the car.

Originality sets the overall theme of this car, from the paint finish to the cabin, undercarriage, engine and 29,000 acquired miles - it's obvious the E-Type has been garaged and well cared for. Over $10,000 was spent this past year mechanically reviving the car, including a complete tune, gaskets, brake and suspension work among others. The undercarriage is very original and solid and the engine compartment is very nicely detailed.

The original factory paint is crazing and chipping throughout, but displays properly for an authentic survivor - While the factory upholstery remains in immaculate condition for its age and originality. Needless to say, this 2+2 makes an exceptional candidate for any concours' preservation class or makes a great base to take it to the next level if desired. Mechanically the car is very sound and we can only recommend a charge of the A/C system shall it be used in hot climates.

Advertised locally for only: $39,500.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
