Acquired as a basket case in the heady days of 1988, the car's ground-up restoration was eventually completed in 1996 to the original specification as per the Heritage Certificate (with minor mods - electric fan, stainless steel exhaust and tubular manifold, blue mohair hood and chrome and s/s wires). It is now in near concours condition, but covers only 1000 miles or so per year. The car's number indicates it was only the 25th RHD 4.2 litre OTS produced, and a rare 1964-manufactured 4.2 car.
I have an old UK style green continuation logbook dating from 1974/5 when it was registered in Wakefield, Yorkshire to two members of the Bolland family. From this I was able to have the original registration 404 EAN reinstated. The car's body had been -badly - hand painted in red over a previous layer of white when acquired. Any information on the car's early history prior to 1988 would be gratefully received.
