Listed as sold at www.specialtysales.com - "New to our Benicia showroom is a very rare and highly desirable roadster; it's a 1966 Jaguar E-Type two door convertible with Jaguar Red paint and a Fawn leather interior. This gorgeous sports car features a 4.2L six cylinder engine under the hood with a 4 speed syncro manual transmission plus it comes nicely equipped with factory 4 wheel disc brakes, wire wheels and more. This '66 Jaguar is in excellent condition all around. The original owner of this 1966 Jaguar E-Type was a renowned master mechanic that kept this gorgeous roadster in pristine condition. The current owner purchased the vehicle several years ago and completely restored it to a very high standard, despite the fact that it had a salvage title(we are gathering more information on that). This XKE runs beautifully though and with only 8k miles on the engine it would be hard to find a nicer example in this price range. This 1966 Jaguar E-Type convertible would easily appraise in the six figure range if it were not for the salvage title so this an incredible opportunity for a serious collector ti get their hands on this ultra rare vehicle at an excellent price." The listing price was $66,990.

I bought this car in 2014 and returned it back because it was not a
matching numbers car as assured by the seller speciality sales.
A legal case then and afterwords sold to the Netherlands...
Now offerd at a price of 139.000 Euro... uncredible

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
