Seller's description:
1965 Jaguar E-Type SI
4.2 MK1 Spider OTS (1965)
Bodywork in Silver Blue color, black leather interior and black carpet.
Today we are proud to present the iconic, timeless and unparalleled piece of history, the Jaguar E Type 4.2 Spider MK1 from 1965. The conditions are amazing, competition worthy. Specifically, we are talking about a single owner since 1968. Found on behalf of the latter in Colorado by Veniero Molari, trusted consultant for the historic cars of Count Vittorio Zanon of Valgiurata. Only one owner also in America. The previous owner of the Jaguar was a NASA technician. Customs cleared in 1988. Upon arrival in Italy, the interior and soft top were completely redone and the mechanics overhauled. Recently it was completely repainted as it was starting to show signs of aging. Jaguar E-Type series 1, 4.200, spider (Open Two Seaters), left-hand drive, produced on 06/29/1965 and sold on 07/12/1965 in the United States (New York Jaguar Cars) where it was purchased by the first American owner, in the Silver Blue color with Black interior. According to the Jaguar Heritage present, the total correspondence and accuracy of all chassis, engine, gearbox and body numbers can be seen. It is one of the first examples built with the 4.2 engine which retains the classic tail with the lights mounted above the bumpers. The car also comes with ASI certification. Since the completion of the works, the car has only traveled a few kilometres.
