This 1965 Jaguar XKE Roadster is finished in gray over black and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, 15″ wire wheels, glass headlight covers, chrome bumpers and trim, a PerTronix ignition system, tubular exhaust headers, and a stainless steel exhaust system. Originally delivered to the US, the car was exported to the UK in 2017 and returned stateside in 2020 when it was acquired by the selling dealer. This XKE Roadster is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, service records, and a California title.

The car was originally delivered in Carmen Red and was stripped and repainted in gray during prior ownership. Equipment includes a black soft top, a louvered hood, glass headlight covers, dual exhaust exits, and chrome bumpers and trim. A decal on the hood shows the car’s former English registration number.

Chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with Michelin XVS tires. Service in October 2020 included replacing the rear wheel bearings and rear trailing arm bushings.

The cabin features black leather seats and door panels along with matching carpets. Equipment includes a heater and a passenger grab bar. Speakers are mounted in the center console but no radio is present.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 67k miles.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was bored 0.020″ over and fitted with 9:1 pistons during a rebuild in 2014. Equipment includes triple SU carburetors, a PerTronix ignition system, stainless steel headers, and a stainless steel exhaust system. Service in October 2020 included adjusting the timing chain and replacing the cam cover gaskets.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox.

The cylinder head stamping is shown above, and the engine block stamping can be viewed in the gallery.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows the original colors and powertrain numbers. Service records and import documents are also included in the sale.

The car is currently registered as Title Only in California.

Discovered car is NOT matching numbers as the auction progressed and is a mixture of different sub frame and body numbers from heritage certificate..
