    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Car has a buy it now price of $110,000 for 5 days. Car now said to be in Chicago, Illinois. 58k miles.

    Sellers description:
The early history of this stunningly presented Series 1 E-Type is currently unknown, although it is believed that the car receieved a major mechanical and cosmetic restoration sometime during the mid-to-late 1990s while owned by a Southern California collector. Offered for sale in Monterey, California, in 2002, the Roadster was purchased by another California collector who exhibitied the car at numerous concours d'elegance and local car shows. Following the owner's passing in the mid-2000s, the car was sold to the renowned collector and founder of Carriage House Motor Cars, Michael Schudroff, in 2008. Mr. Schudroff recalls the E-Type to be one of the most scintillating drives of his experience, even outperforming a similar JCNA-judged, 100-point E-Type that he owned at the time.

In 2009, this Jaguar was acquired by its current owner, a Chicago collector who has maintainted the car in a climate-controlled garage, taking only occasional drives and accuring minimal mileage. The E-Type abounds with authentic details, including an elegant wood steering wheel, sporty aircraft-style flip switches on the dash console and a stylish interior of black leather complemented by metalic trim. Its mechanical condition is no less impressive, featuring beautifully finished engine components and a fastidiously detailed compartment under the bonnet. Displaying a push-button radio and matching black rubber floor mats, the suave Roadster offers a sensational presentation and the consignor assures it performs admirably. Accompanied by a certificate from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage.

Car to be at auction 3/14
    www.auctionsamerica.com/events/feature-lots.cfm

    Auction description:
    Fort Lauderdale
    March 14-16, 2014
    1965 Jaguar E-Type Series I 4.2 Roadster
    Estimate: $100,000 - $140,000
To be offered on March 14-16, 2014
    Chassis no. 1E11412
While the early history of this beautifully presented E-Type Series I is currently unknown, it is thought that the Jaguar received a comprehensive cosmetic and mechanical restoration in the mid-to-late 1990s when in the possession of a California collector. The car was sold at Monterey in 2002 to another respected aficionado who displayed the Jaguar at numerous concours events as well as local shows during his stewardship. Following this owners passing in the mid-2000s; prominent collector and founder of Carriage House Motor Cars, Michael Schudroff acquired this stunning machine in 2008. It was to then arrive with a Chicago collector who maintained the car in a proper setting with minimal mileage accumulated.

The bright red finish and black leather interior are a near-perfect combination to best illustrate the stylish design and sporting nature of the roadster. Powered by a 4.2-liter, 265-hp DOHC inline six-cylinder engine with triple sidedraft SU carburetors. This unit is mated to a four-speed manual gearbox; four-wheel disc brakes are also a most welcomed mechanical feature. The cockpit exhibits numerous authentic details; from the wood-rimmed steering wheel to aircraft-type toggle switches, radio and complete Smiths instrumentation.

The engine compartment is equally well-detailed with a fastidious and proper presentation that is reported to perform strong and admirably. Chrome wire wheels with knock-off hubs are another desirable feature from this model year. This exhilarating E-Type is accompanied by certification from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.
