The dates on the Heritage Certificate on my car look as follows: 8.9.65 . This reads as September 8, 1965. My HC is from 1989, and at that time this is how they did it. Also, my car was restored to a high standard using all NOS parts in the early 90's. The block, cylinder head, transmission cover, transmission case, grease crayon on front subframe, grease crayon on firewall, and body number riveted under the rear license plate were all there before the restoration. As I remember, there were body numbers in grease crayon on the backside of dash pieces as well when the restoration was going on.
The car runs and drives well. I hope to have it for a long time to come.
