My 'home' club is the Delaware Valley Jaguar Club, and I have an E Type OTS s/n 1E11703, currently painted BRT (British Racing Turquoise), from my old campaigning days!

Car startted out as a bronze '66 FHC, flipped by an overeager zealot driving his girlfriend's car at lime Rock Park in '69, I think. I obtained the wreck fron the insurance company in a sealed-bid auction, and my buddy Bob Roggio and I proceeded to rebuild it for club racing. The current body ('654 OTS, originally black) was purchased from a now-defunct Jaguar dealer in Trenton, NJ, and a 'surplus' 4.2 Mark 10 engine was overbored 0.040" and fitted with high-compression (11:1) Jahns pistons, Isky XM3 cams, etc. Custom-built 1" anti-sway bars (f & r) and disk wheels (hubs from a 3.8S sedan and wheels from a '70 Monte Carelo) completed the package. Built a roll bar, fitted 3.8 seats (better lateral suport) and had a ball for a couple of years! The engine overheated and came apart in traffic in '73, and the car's been on a flat-tow ever since, awaiting its climb to the top of the todo pile! Block re-sleeved and new (matching) piston acquired. "Maybe this Summer . . . "

Front space frames, gearbox (reinforced top cover), and instruments from original FHC; bonnet is (poorly-repaired) fiberglass. Factory Hardtop (roll bar interferes with soft top bows motion). Rear axle from a '68.

Vehicle flipped at Lime Rock Park in 1969 - I bought it from the insurance company and a buddy and I spent 2 years rebuilding it, for club racing and competition including changng it from a squashed FHC to an OTS body. Car has a roll bar, suspension mods, 4.2 engine from my donor Marrk 10 overbored 0.040, 11:1 compresson Jahns pistons, Isky XM3 cams, fiberglass bonnet, factory hardtop (convertible hood mechanism wasn't compatible with the roll bar), vented rear brakes, steel disk wheels (hubs from a Jaguar 3.8S sedan), etc. Painted BRT (British Racing Turquoise) by Earl Scheib for $12.95! (metal, rubber, glass, chrome - masking tape was extra!) Paint still looks 'striking' - tub is a bit rusty - needs TLC. Engine currently apart (been clamboring toward the top of the 'to-do' pile for some 25 years!). One of these days . . . - It's now looking for a good home for proper restoration to cub racing condition.
