    Sellers comment:
    Vehicle Description
Offered is a rare find, original, all matching number, 1966 Series I 4.2 litre E roadster needing restoration. Last registered in 1976, it has been in indoor storage ever since.

The car’s originality is remarkable having only covered 34,936 miles!
It features the factory ID, tag never having been removed, reading:
    Car # 1E12605
    Engine # 7E8168-9
    Body # 4E4135
    Gear Box # EJ7347
The car’s body tag is untouched as well, located between the rear license plate lamps, the tag reading 4135 is perfect with original rivets still intact.

The car must have been put into storage after it was hit in the nose and subsequently that is why a bonnet is not included. There is damage to the front picture frame and right sub frame, which unbolt for replacement. The firewall still has the factory yellow crayon body marking of 4135 still visible.

The car’s tub is structurally very sound. The floors are very solid and have factory backing still attached and do not need replacement. The trunk floor is excellent as well. The left rocker will need replacement. Both door shuts are superb with great flush lines. The left door even has original plastic still attached. The factory triplex windscreen is in place.

The car is a great restoration project as the car only traveled 35,000 miles! The engine turns freely, the transmission moves through its gears smoothly and even the handbrake is free. The car is not complete, missing seats, top frame and other parts, but nothing that can’t easily be procured. Please note that this car is being sold with a notarized bill of sale only.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
