Gorgeous, rotisserie restored 1967 E-Type Open Two Seater Roadster! Rebuilt 4.2L engine, 4-speed manual transmission, 15″ chrome wire wheels, redline tires, leather interior, and more! Finished to exceptionally high standards in 2008 with approximately 3,500 miles driven since completion! Fully sorted, stunning from every angle, and ready to enjoy immediately!

We are very pleased to offer this 1967 Jaguar XKE OTS Roadster finished in Carmen Red over Black Leather seats accented by red piping, with matching Black convertible top and boot cover. Power comes from a date-code correct 1967 4.2L Straight 6 engine fitted with proper triple SU carburetors producing 265 horsepower mated to a 4-speed gearbox. Features include 72-spoke chrome wire wheels wrapped in Michelin Radial redline tires measuring 185-15X, telescoping steering column, updated AM/FM/Cassette audio system with Kenwood speakers, Smiths instrumentation, wood steering wheel, and outside mirror.

This example hails from a California where it was completely restored in nut & bolt fashion, completed in 2008. The body and paint work were professionally executed by Scott Bachum, while all mechanicals were done by Laguna Beach based Barnhoorn Automotive. The interior and top by K&H Interiors located in Garden Grove, CA. The results are nothing short of excellent, and only a short test is needed to enjoy the raw speed and power of a well-tuned E-Type like this one! The instant acceleration pushes you against the seat and provides consistent power through the entire rev range! Enjoyable would be an understatement! Our example has a few enhancements to better enjoy as a very drivable show car. This includes a stainless steel exhaust header & exhaust system, updated electric cooling fans, Pertronix electronic ignition, stainless steel brake calibers & braided lines. It has traveled just shy of 3,500 miles since completion to allow for any necessary post-restoration adjustments to be addressed. It has been in the care of a local St. Louis business professional & car collector since mid-year 2010. Also included with the sale will be a restoration receipts & service records, new driver's handbook, Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, workshop manual, maintenance diagram, and a CoverCraft fitted storage cover. Lot #187236

This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster was refurbished in 2008, and it is powered by a replacement 4.2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in Carmen Red over black leather, the car is equipped with a black soft top, a soft top boot, 15″ wire-spoke steel wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, a stainless-steel exhaust system, PerTronix electronic ignition, and a cassette radio. This XKE Series I roadster was acquired by the current owner in 2017 and is now offered in Georgetown, Texas on dealer consignment with a car cover and a clean Missouri title.

The Series I E-Types were equipped with covered headlights and taillights mounted above the chrome rear bumpers. This example is finished in Carmen Red and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. Additional equipment includes a black soft top, a soft top boot, a louvered clamshell hood, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a driver-side mirror, triple windshield wipers, and dual exhaust outlets.

The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with Michelin X tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors, stainless-steel calipers, and stainless-steel braided lines. GAZ adjustable shocks are fitted out back.

The cabin features bucket seats that have been reupholstered in black leather with red piping, and matching upholstery extends to the center console. Interior appointments include black vinyl dash trim, a sliding rearview mirror, a cassette radio, and a heater.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 59k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership.

The replacement 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque. The engine was reportedly rebuilt in 2008 and has been fitted with stainless-steel headers, a stainless steel exhaust system, PerTronix electronic ignition, and electric cooling fans. Work under current ownership is said to have involved replacing the carburetor diaphragms along with the fuel line, battery, fan motor, and coolant overflow tank.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a full-synchromesh four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
