Current bid $2,720 reserve not met 12 bids, 6 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
    1967 Jaguar E-Type (XK-E) Convertible

    Serial Number: 1E13499

The car has 60837 miles on the odometer, which I believe to be actual. This car was bought used by the seller in 1970. The car has been parked since 1974.

The car has its original 4.2 liter I-6 DOHC engine with 3 carburetors. It has 4-speed manual transmission.

The car is complete. No parts have been removed, although rust and rot have taken their toll on some items. The floor pans are gone, as apparently is the floor of the trunk. The section of the hood and front fender assembly below the grille opening is rusted, but the rest of the assembly has very little rust. The doors and deck lid are rusted, but the rest of the body appears to be either rust free or some spotty superficial rust.

The frame rails in the engine compartment appear to be rust free.

To my knowledge, the car has never been raced or wrecked. Everything on the car is original. The car is located in Jeffersonville, Indiana (which is just north of Louisville, Ky).

I bought it in 1970 as a second car. I entered graduate school in 1973, and left the car with my brother. He drove it until the winter weather got nasty, and parked it. The car was operable when it was parked. I finally returned home in 1989, with the intention of restoring it. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

The car is not operable as is, so it will have to be picked up on a flatbed or trailer.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
