One owner from new, un-restored and in sensational condition.
We where extremely excited to locate this truly exceptional Series 1 roadster. It remains exactly as it left the factory in 1966 down to the body numbers crayoned on the components, the unused tonneau cover and the original unused tool roll.
It is a 'black plate' Californian car signifying that this E-Type was originally exported to California where all the very best preserved examples tend to be found. This is due to the favourable climate which is ideal for preservation of the steel bodywork.
The history file is as amazing as the actual car and includes all the handbooks, wallets and the original factory build sheet confirming the special and unique colour combination.
The original specification document shows extras specified when new included chrome wire wheels, whitewall tyres, tinted glass, front and rear guards, seat belts, and the dealer also supplied exhaust tips and mirror glaze finish to the paintwork.
The trim is in rich tan and has aged beautifully. It is the nicest and most alluring original interior that we have ever experienced.
An exceptionally special and unique Series 1 4.2 Roadster.
