Current bid $15,370, no reserve, 9 bids 6 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
We think this car is a 1965 jaguar e-type 4.2 type1 roadster, according to the data available on the web. This car belngs to a couple who parked it in the garage in 1994, we had it sent to the local jaguar experts and had them clean out the fuel tank and get it running again. They also went through the brakes and made sure they were working properly. The car starts easily and runs very smoothly and quietly. I drove it around the block and it runs very well and stops great. Engine is very quiet and does not smoke at all. The top is there but something chewed a hole in 3 spots so it will need a new top. Both front floor boards have about a 2 inch by 12 inch rust hole, some rust bubbles on rt and left sides. Pretty much all we did was get the car running and clean it up. Would make a great driver or great restoration car. The older couple who own the car could no longer drive, that is why it has been setting for so long. The odometer shows 45218, I assume thats 145218.

Current bid $32,100 reserve not met, 4 bids 5 days left in auction. 46k miles.

    Sellers description:
Jaguar XKE 1967 manufactured Dec. 20th, 1966 in carmen red with black leather and a black top sold to Dr. Youngblood of which I purchased the car. Dr. Youngblood drove the car, 44,856 miles, (original). As Dr. Youngblood said, his favorite time to drive the car was to the hospital to deliver babies in the middle of the night. The car was parked in1992 in his garage and not driven again. I purchased the car from Dr. Youngblood in 2009.

This is why I purchased it. It is a true 1967, Series 1, most sought after Etype manufactured in December 1966. It is numbers matching. It has never had an accident. It has never been hit... It has never been disassembled and reassembled. Nothing has been taken apart. It is a totally original car. Original leather, top, carpet, 8 track radio. The doors close without any force (spring loaded less than 1 finger). The trunk opens and closes with one finger. Every light and gauge in the car works - back up lights, license plate, trunk. Everything works as it should. I leave it in my garage over the winter without a battery tender and it starts without a problem. No drain at all. It starts without issues. And, no smoke. Just as it should. It is really fast and it sounds great and the brakes are excellent. There are no vibrations at any speed. I placed 17th in the National Standings JNCA 2011 Slalom Championship in this car. I just ran the slalom once, and I had never run it before. The car is fast and handles as it should - great.

Every rubber bushing under the car was original. After 44 years you can imagine the quality of the rubber bushings. I have had every suspension bushing replaced, cleaned and painted including - both upper ball joints, lower ball joints, sway bar bushings and end link bushings, mount bushings, upper and lower control arm bushings, replaced tie rod ends, steering rack rebuilt with bellows, wheel bears, splash guards on both sides,. Stainless steel bolts used. Replaced the ball joints, brakes rebuilt - calipers rebuilt with new brake disks, steering column bushings replaced, rebuilt clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder. Electric fan replaced with high volume Cool Cat. Replaced original radiator with high performance aluminum radiator. Replaced otter switch and both radiator caps. Replaced clutch and brake reservoirs. New wire set with correct mounts and ends. And, new points, plugs. condenser, cleaned and reset the 3 carbs, timed and set ideal.

It comes with the original tools in the original plastic wrap, leather boot cover, leather cock pit cover, original manual, Heritage Trust.

Remember, this 1967 E-type has not been restored. It has a small hole in the original soft top. 1st gear is a little grabby. It is an amazing great car.

Car to be at auction 5/16

    Auction description:
The Classic Race Aarhus Auction » Lot List » 1966 Jaguar E-Type Series I Roadster
    Auctions
    1966 Jaguar E-Type Series I Roadster
    Lot No.: 211
    Registration: GDS 302E
    Chassis Number: 1E14362
    Engine Number: 7E11510-9
    Number of cylinders: 6
    CC: 4200cc
    Year of Manufacture: 1966
    Estimate (€): 80,000 - 90,000

This elegant Series I 4.2 Roadster was sold new, in 1966, to the United States where it car spent a large number of years in the relatively dry state of Missouri. The vendor imported the car to the UK in 2013 having found it to be in highly original condition and was pleased to find with the Jaguar, a number of invoices for work and servicing whilst in the USA. Once imported to the UK, this E-Type was registered and given a fresh MoT certificate. The current owner has recently spent money getting the car into fine mechanical condition and states that it performs very well on the road.

The coachwork is described as "solid, with excellent panel gaps." There are one or two areas of light surface corrosion and small dents, and some buyers may well choose to repaint the car, however, for lovers of originality or those in need of a useable classic, this example can be driven and used as it is and comes with a current UK MoT certificate.

The interior is in presentable condition and is in keeping with the rest of the car but the hood does need replacing as it is very old. The engine is in running condition and buyers are welcome to hear the car during the auction preview. In addition, there is a Jaguar Heritage Certificate that confirms the engine is the original unit.

Supplied with the aforementioned history file, UK V5C registration document and looks that could kill, this E-Type is a chance to relive the 1960s, and own a truly iconic piece of design.
