This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster is said to have been acquired by the seller’s brother in 1969 and later underwent a color change to white as part of a planned refurbishment initiated in the 1990s. Chassis 1E14797 subsequently spent time in storage before being acquired by the seller in 2010 as an incomplete project. The partially dismantled car features a convertible top frame over a stripped interior that retains a wood-rimmed steering wheel along with Smiths instrumentation. The non-running 4.2L inline-six is a replacement unit, and further equipment includes triple SU carburetors, a four-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, and 15″ wire-spoke wheels. This XKE Series I roadster project is now offered at no reserve in Nevada with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, spare and removed parts, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with older tires that require replacement. The XKE featured four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear units.
The stripped cabin retains a wood-rimmed steering wheel with drilled spokes that is paired with an aftermarket wood shift knob. Smiths instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer as well as centrally mounted auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 26 miles, and total mileage is unknown. The seller notes that the car was rear-ended at some time in the past.
The non-running 4.2L inline-six is said to have been installed in the late 1980s. It is equipped with triple SU carburetors, though no air cleaners are fitted.
A full-synchromesh four-speed manual transmission is linked to a limited-slip differential out back. The seller notes rust on various underside components. A collection of spare and removed parts is included in the sale.
A Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate shows the original colors and drivetrain numbers as well as the build and dispatch dates. The data plate is missing

Auction description:
This is a relist after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in January 2025 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner’s participation on BaT has been restricted and their buyer’s fee was not refunded.
Otherwise as above, same seller and location
