This 1967 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was completed on February 20, 1967 and distributed in the US through Jaguar Cars of New York. Finished in metallic blue with a dark blue soft top over black leather upholstery, the car is powered by a numbers-matching 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a black removable hardtop, electronic ignition, push-button AM/FM radio with an auxiliary input, four-wheel disc brakes, and chrome knock-off wire wheels. This XKE was acquired by the seller around a decade ago and is now being offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate and New York registration.

Factory finished in Opalescent Silver Grey, the car underwent a repaint in its current shade of metallic blue around 25 years ago. The removable black hardtop can be seen in the gallery below, and additional exterior features include a replacement dark blue soft top, a louvered hood, bullet-style driver’s side mirror, and central exhaust outlets. An area of rust-through is visible on the passenger-side rocker panel, and additional flaws noted by the seller include various paint chips and scratches along with dents on the passenger door, driver-side lower front cowl, and driver-side rear fender.

Chrome 15” wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and mounted with 205/70 Pirelli P 4000 tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rears, and a full-size spare is found in the trunk. The seller notes that the handbrake is not functional.

The cabin features seats upholstered in black leather along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Lap belts are fitted for both occupants, and equipment includes an aftermarket push-button AM/FM radio with an auxiliary input, toggle switches for vehicle functions, and a height-adjustable rearview mirror.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, and an analog clock. A quartet of auxiliary gauges are found in the center stack, and the five-digit odometer shows 74k miles, around 9k of which have been added during current ownership, though total mileage is unknown. The seller reports that the brake indicator light is inoperable.

The 4.2-liter twin-cam inline-six features triple SU carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. A stainless-steel exhaust system and electronic ignition have been installed. The wiring harness and alternator were replaced approximately five years ago per the seller, who also states that the carburetors were tuned around a year ago. A crack is noted on the passenger side of the valve cover and an exhaust leak is present.

Engine block stamping 7E 12477-9 matches the number listed on the Heritage Trust Certificate.

The floor pans are said to have been replaced over two decades ago. Rust-through is noted in the trunk floor and on a supporting beam, and the seller reports additional corrosion behind the footwells. Additional underbody photos are provided in the gallery below.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists factory colors and identification numbers as well as a completion date of February 20, 1967.
