Car to be at auction 10/07
www.barons-auctions.com/details.php

Auction description:
Manufacturer Jaguar Cars
Model E-Type SI 4.2 Roadster
First Registered 1966
Registration No LYL690D
Engine No 7E85779
Chassis No 1E1523
MOT MAY 2008
Colour Silver Grey

Details
Offered here is a Series 1, 4.2 Roadster, which has been the subject of a major restoration at considerable expense, which is in addition to the £11000 spent during 2006/2007.

Finished in silver grey with red leather, the car is complete with a factory hard top, in addition to the hood, a Heritage Certificate, 13 previous MoT certificates and old buff Log Book. The history confirms the low owners and appears to support the 72,000 as being correct, though it is not warranted as such.

The best model, in the best colour combination and fully restored. What more could one ask?

Note: This description is provided by the vendor and unless otherwise stated is 'Not Verified' by Barons or any person employed by Barons. Prospective purchasers are advised to satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of any statements made, whether they be statements of fact or opinion.
Estimate £29000-32000

Purchased by me (Peter Hugo) in about 2016 (from my Hospital bed!!). Delighted to find that it came complete with its original factory hardtop. Visually slightly `scruffy` but dynamically terrific following an `engineering` rebuild by WinSpeed of Guildford (UK). VERY QUICK INDEED and VERY STABLE!!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
