Car was purchased on 26 June 1975 from original owner with 18263 miles from new. 1E1605 has been meticulously maintained to remain 100% original, but has been sparingly, but regularly used in the manner that was intended.

Hi, please Roger can you post a copy of the JHT certificate showing the original colour as "Old English White"? Or if you have a copy of the build sheet showing #1E1605 (and it would be nice to know / see the colours of #1E1606-1E1620 as well. In material made before 1968 I have never seen that name, only "Cream" and "White" written on the build sheets and JHT certificates. Also I have an original 1966 colour chart and it too only uses the name Cream" for the white they had at the time.

BTW your car may be in some of the photos I have that were taken on June 22nd 1966 in the Browns Lane plant from the assembly of E-types, there is a white RHD OTS among the cars, although as your car was finished on June 20trh 1966 so it must be another car then. Anyways it's very close so I am happy to send a copy per e-mail etc.

Cheers!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
