    Sellers comment:
You are looking at a 1968 Jaguar XKE series 1 1/2 4.2 roadster. This is a rare tri-carb set-up. This vehicle has a fresh interior and top. Covered headlights. Chassis # 3116330 Engine # 7E121C8 Body 4E7700. Just serviced; exhaust is new. Although this car is not perfect; it looks and drives GREAT and is something to be proud of. We cannot verify actual miles but odometer shows 22,000.
After market radio. There are a few minor paint imperfections the worst are shown. There are a few minor chrome imperfections on the tail lights; the worst are shown.
Car has had some minor rust repair; however, the floors are good.

The car is registered as a 1968, however, everything in the car is a series one, including covered headlights, interior switches, fuses, etc. So far, I have found nothing that designates this as a series two.

Therefore, we believe the car was actually built in 1967. The engine, gearbox, body serial numbers designate this as a 1967.

Current bid $20,000, no reserve, 25 bids 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Crystal River, Florida.

    Sellers description:
The car has matching body, engine and chassis numbers. The mileage on the odometer is 22,298, but we don't know whether or not that is accurate. I tried to list it as mileage unknown, but eBay required that a number be listed.

A stupid old man (me) decided to do a complete restoration. Prior to attempting the restoration, we drove the car for over a year. It is a FUN car to drive! Stupid old man (me) had a heart attack and all projects came to an abrupt halt. Had new Michelin performance tires installed prior to beginning of work. All parts are there, along with some new. Has original Jag E-Type tool kit, your choice of original steering wheel or custom Nardi wheel (expensive!).

As you can see, some rust has occurred on some of the chrome. Also, on the nose of the bonnet, there is a dent which occurred while it was sitting in my garage.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
