Ebay item 6/19/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Jaguar-XKE-Model-4-2_W0QQitemZ250132928760
Opening bid $15,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 5 days left in auction. 95k miles.

Sellers description;
Purchased by my late husband in 1985 from a private party in Naples, FL. For the next 2 years he lovingly restored it using all authentic Jaguar parts. My husband had owned many Jaguars in his lifetime and loved to organize and participate in rallies in the state of Philedelphia.

I have all the work orders that have been done and parts orders on the car since 1979 when the previous owner purchased the car in Kansas City, KS. I also have the original Operation Maintenance and Service Handbook.

The car has always been kept in a dry environment in our private garage. Since my husband died in 1990, the car has hardly been driven. It has new Michelin tires with a red racing stripe as of 2000. The paint (Signal Red) was applied in 1993. (Originally the car was British White). The paint was taken down to the metal and it was obvious that the car had never been in a wreck. There is currently no visible rust. I have a custom fitted canvas cover that I will include with the car.

All the parts are original except for the radio and mufflers. The radio was replaced with a Blaupunkt radio/CD system in 1993 and the mufflers have been replaced with Midas lifetime mufflers. The wire wheels and all of the chrome parts have been replated.

I really doubt this is a '70. Probably a '68 Series 1.5.

Registration no. not UK registered Chassis no. 1E16361

Sold for £ 63,250 (US$ 82,816) inc. premium

Goodwood Members' Meeting Sale 29 Mar 2020, Chichester, Goodwood

*Delivered new to the USA

*Left-hand drive

*Extensively restored in 2013

Manufactured in November 1967 during this transitional period, this 'Series 1½' was sold new via Henlys, London as a Personal Export Delivery and registered in Coventry as 'NHP 862F'. Originally finished in cream with black interior trim, it was first owned by a Mr Carr.

Purchased in Oregon, USA, the E-Type has spent the last three years in the warm climates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Extensive works were carried out in 2013, including a bare-metal repaint; rebuilt brakes; new exhaust system and manifolds; overhauled suspension; a new interior; and electronic ignition. It also has a rebuilt Becker Mexico radio, which is complemented by a new amplifier and loudspeakers. The private vendor advises that a recent compression test returned excellent results, and that the car drives very well.
