THE CAR WAS BOUGHT in Norfolk, Va by an Air Force Capt. Taken overseas for his use. After getting back to US he divorced and left car with his wife. She could get it running right and the shop kept it. I bought the car in 1981 with correct milage of 30,927

Ebay item 10/15/20

www.ebay.com/itm/1968-Jaguar-E-Type/193710029343

Opening bid US $89,500, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction buy it now price $99,500 seller britishcarsforus2012, 50k miles, car now said to be in Blacklick, Ohio, previously Lynchburg, Virginia.

Seller's description:

A beautiful, Jaguar E- Type, Series 1.5, 4.2 Liter, Manual Convertible in very good driver / show quality condition.

This car is finished in its factory original Regency Red with Tan Interior. It is a matching numbers car and has just been through an extensive mechanical restoration over the past twelve months to ensure that it is in tip-top running condition before I put it up for sale. I have included copies of some of the receipts that document the work that was done and amount of money that I have spent on the restoration. I have lots of supporting documentation that includes reports and photographs of the restoration and receipts. The car is in excellent driving and running condition, no expense was spared on the restoration.

This jaguar also comes with a new set of chrome wire wheels and new red line tires which have been tuned, balanced and shaved for smooth running, a sunfast tan top and matching tan top cover is also supplied with this car. In the trunk is a tan tonnau cover in a vinyl pouch, a factory correct jack and handle in a factory correct pouch and a factory correct tool roll which is complete.

The overall condition of this car is: This car is straight with only a few very minor paint blemishes, the chrome and glass are excellent condition and the interior shows light patina from use. The undercarriage is rust free as-is the trunk spare wheel well.

This car is a pleasure to drive and turns heads wherever I go in it, I will be sad to see it go!

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
