Sellers description:
This jag has all the up-grades everyone wants to do but don't, because they are scared of being arrested by the originally police! Except for the muti-photo pictures taken during restoration, All pictures are recent. The speedo reads mileage since restoration. Original mileage at start of rebuild was 60,000. keep in mind, this jag has been used fore 10 yrs. and almost 10K miles since rebuild, so body is not absolutly flawless, a very exceptional car. The engine compartment and under panels are still in original rebuild condition. Speedo reads 5 MPH high due to tire size, windows could be adjusted for tighter closure.

BODY & ELECTRICAL
New series 1 bonnet with original triplex headlamp covers. Much stainless steel hardware used in re-assembly. All parts replated in cadium, white and yellow zinc as appropriate, even parts you don't see like window crank assembly. Also a lot of powder coating including IRS cage assembly, springs, torsion bars, reaction plate, radiator fans and wiper motor housing, mud shields, radius arms, vaccum tank, oil filter, headlite buckets, balance link springs, steering shaft, radiator stone guard, fan brackets battery support bracket, brake dust shields, even fuel lid door spring. Also fan shroud, ash tray, choke & heater knobs finished in powder coat wrinkle finish, etc, etc. Hammertone powdercoat used as required. New windshield and side windows, seals and gaskets. S/S heater & vaccum pipes in firewall. New interior, top, etc. All chrome replated (triple plating). New parking & tail light lenses. Insulated trany and drive shaft tunnel. New wiring harness, replaced rocker switch caps (if you noticed, all the originals turn chalky with age) replaced indicator strip. Had speedo Cleaned and calibrated, although reading high now because of low profile tires. New glass and seals in speedo, tach & gauges. Recently had tach rebuilt to operate accurately with the electronic ignition. Added led bulbs for much cooler & better Instrument illumination. Clock converted to quartz movement with no visible changes to clock. Converted to 60 AMP alternator, no wires cut, relays & regulator still in place with conversion (still have original lucas in perfect condition). Please note the lack of undercoating, wheel wells and under panels of car are painted, not loaded with under- coating to hide rust, what you see is what you get, rust free painted panels!! All cast aluminium was glass beaded and clear coated with high temp spray. All original cheney clamps were glass beaded and replated. Custom made (not whimpy) sun visors, have originals in excellent condition. Rare Nardy steering wheel, (have original in super condition) burl elm dash, (have original) Seat belts re-webbed with correct webbing and rare hickok buckles. New dash top.

ENGINE
Totally re-built, block hot dipped, rings, bearings, S/S exhaust valves, seals, timing chains,etc,etc. Cooling fans, oil pump, alternator, starter, wiper motor, water pump all rebuilt. Radiator re-cored with high eff. core. Only distilled water and anti-freeze have been used since rebuild. Pertronic electronic ignition & coil. Highly polished triple SU carbs, Jet coated exhaust manifolds, (have original set that were just re-porcelained). Ingine compartment is as clean or cleaner as you would see in any finer restroration. Stainless exhaust system except for 4 pipe Ansa type resonators (still have set of new S/S polished resonators) S/S heat shields, S/S studs on intake & exhaust manifolds, also header down pipe studs. New fuel tank. Just added 2 new Kool Kat high eff. radiator fans (have original in excellent condition)

DRIVE TRAIN
New synchro's & seals in trany, all new U-joints (greaseable), drive & half shafts, new clutch & bearing, new differential seals, new bearing & seals in rear hubs. 5 new wheels with S/S spokes, new knock off's. 205/65 Kuhmo tire's (600 miles), also have set of Michelin redline tires, 185/15, 2 never been on the road and 4 have less then 9K miles.

SUSPENSION
New bushings, powder coat link arms, sway bars, radius arms, etc. New ball joints, tie rod ends,radius arm bushings,wheel bearings,seals, cad plate upper & lower A-arms, new rear shocks, rebuild steering rack(new bushing)

BRAKES
ALL NEW ROTORS, All cylinders sleeved in S/S including master(brass), booster & clutch, all S/S lines including clutch & fuel lines, also S/S flex lines at wheels. Added remote bleeders for rear brakes. Silicone fluid, Brake system flushed yearly.

MISC
Car cover, bonnet Bra, Original jack in excellent condition with original pouch, mid 60's Blaupunkt AM/FM/SW radio, was all checked out, still sounds like crap, as I understand this is common with these early blaupunkts. I also have the original owner's instruction guide, warrenty card, spec's and wiring schematic's for the radio. Original very rare series 1.5 owner manual in mint condition with pouch. Service books, lots of extra parts, please check photo's. Have three sets of cam covers, polish ones jon car, have original black ones and set powder coated red to match car. Freshly refinished boot lid complete with luggage rack and logo's. The big originality issues are the bonnet and carbs, but, people will be lining up at your garage to trade you their series 1.5 bonnet and twin stromberg carbs for your new series 1 bonnet and highly polished triple SU carbs, when your all done there will be enough dollars left over to re-finish the jag and take a caribbean cruise!!!

The abbreviated rebuild specification includes new bonnet with original triplex covers fitted. It would be hard to think of anything else that can be done to the car without taking away from its core originality.
