Listed for sale at Docs Jags $18,000 firm. "68 xke ots, 1E17016. Glass headlight covers have been retrofitted. Car was running and driving and owner took it apart. Very solid. California title. Driver front floor cut out -- new one bought and not yet installed. Bonnet apart. Car is complete. I have a set of 3.8 intakes(3 individual intakes) and 3 SU carbs worth $3,000 that I will sell for another $1,500. These will work on the car and in my opinion actually look more sporty with the three separate intakes"

Sellers description:
Don't have an extra $30,000-$50,000+ to spend on a car? Afraid of a what a newly painted car may be hiding? Want to choose your own paint and interior? Want to restore as you can afford? Here's your chance with a SOLID CALIFORNIA CAR! Same owner of 20 years. The car comes with a 1985 CALIFORNIA title. The 68 series 1 1/2 was Only made one year and consequently is a very rare car! Since the headlights on this car have been retrofitted with glass covers, the car now looks externally EXACTLY like a series 1. This car even has series 1 wheels with series 1 spinners. The 68 still had the same small hole in the nose of the front end as the series one. 68 was also the last year of the pretty little tail lights above the rear bumpers and the turn signals above the front bumpers. The 68 was the first year of the reclining seats, without headrests. They look just like the series one 4.2 seats, but much more comfortable when traveling as the seats recline. The 68 also had a different gearbox from the series one, and it is noticeably smoother shifting than the series one. The 68 was the first year of the multi blade dual fans on the radiator as opposed to the single blade single fan of the series 1. This proved to be very effective in solving the overheating problems of the series 1. In Europe the 68 still had 3 carbs, but in the U.S. had 2 carbs. This car comes with 2 stromberg carbs. So the ULTIMATE REALLY NICE car is a 68 with smoother shifting gearbox, reclining seats, glass covered headlights , dual radiator fans. Car was being driven when owner decided to take it apart and then he had health problems, preventing him from continuing. The expense and trouble of removing the engine has already been done. The bonnet has been taken apart. The body has been put in primer. The driver floor pan was removed and a new pan purchased but not yet installed. The rest of the car is VERY solid. The former owner told me the car was complete and he personally started taking it apart. He labeled and bagged any parts he took off the car. I bought the car from the owner in Kansas where the car is now. I have decided to sell it as I have Way too many projects to get to. The first photos show the car as it was before the owner started taking it apart.

Just a heads up to any one considering this car. The car may very well be in the described condition but you should know that it spent some undetermined amount of time in Hawaii where the dirt is rusty. The sticker on the rear bumper is a State of Hawaii safety inspection sticker that expired each December for as long as the car was in the islands.
