Ebay item 7/22/04
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $15,000.00, no reserve, no bids yet, 9 days left in auction, 55k miles, manual trans.

Sellers description:
This Jaguar was purchased new in 1968 by an airline pilot in Florida, the second owner bought the car in Cincinnatti in 1976 he put 3,000 miles on the car, in 1990 he put the car in the living room of one of his fathers houses. His father passed away and his estate went to auction the son decided to sell the car with the estate. I bought the car because it was a good deal and I thought I would pass the good deal to someone who enjoys this type of car.

Vehicle Condition
This car is complete and very driveable, all I have done to the car is change the fluids and added a battery. The car starts well and the clutch works fine, the brakes are working but need some work. I have not had the car on the highway, I have played with it in the yard and it seems to be in very good mechanical condition. The engine sounds good. At one time this car has been painted and had minimal body work. The underside of the car is very solid. The interior is leather and shows wear. the wood on the steering wheel is solid as is the shifter knob and window cranks. The car also has an 8-track player with two pioneer speakers added in good taste.

I received a note from the new owner:

"I am the new owner. Right now the car is located in Bogota - Colombia - South America. The car is under restored. I will send some pics soon."

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
