For auction in Marh 2024
Car has Webasto sunroof and painted wire wheels. Very nice. Data plate appears to be reproduction and does not include body #.
Car has a few minor deviations from original.

VIN 1E20172

This Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 Fixed Head Coupe is a handsomely styled classic British sports car, treated to a comprehensive restoration at a cost of approximately £100,000.

Under the bonnet is a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre straight-six, delivering 265bhp to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.

This example has been with the seller for the last 14 years.

The odometer indicates 61,380 miles, though this is not warranted.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

This E-Type Series 1 is finished in dark green over a muted green leather-trimmed cabin.

It rides on a set of 15-inch polished wire wheels with twin-eared knock-offs.

Equipment includes a wooden-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, Smiths dials, and a row of toggle switches.

Accompanying the sale is a history file and service history dating back to early 1993.

CONDITION

The seller states that the car has undergone a comprehensive restoration at a cost of approximately £100,000, which included replacing numerous panels, respraying the bodywork, retrimming the interior, and working on the mechanicals. The work was reportedly carried out by The Carrosserie Company and Paul Brown Jaguar.

New tyres have been fitted.

The HPI report indicates that the car was previously painted in blue.

Due to the age of the vehicle, it is exempt from mandatory MOT testing. However, the most recent MOT test was conducted on 23 September 2022 at an indicated 61,240 miles, resulting in a clean second-time pass.

SERVICE HISTORY

The car was last serviced in November 2022 by Paul Brown Jaguar.
