Sellers description:
1965 Jaguar E type Series 1, 4.2 Litre Fixed Head Coupe - 2 seater
Sorry, this car has SOLD

Fine example of the most sought after version of the E type. Hard to fault.

This car is beautifully finished in Jaguar Racing Green with chrome wire wheels and black leather interior. Detailed engine bay.

It has the advantages of the improved Jaguar all synchromesh gearbox, improved seating, as well as retaining the classic closed-in headlight appearance of the early E type. Combined with it´s all-round condition this is an extremely desirable E type - ideal for grand touring holidays, continental tours and club events.

It comes with photographic records from it´s rebuild which was completed in 1989/90 when it was described as being "as good, if not better than when it left the factory" by a Jaguar Driver´s Club representative. This comes along with a substantial file of invoices showing £000´s being spent by the previous owner in the last few years, with the oldest invoice dating from 1979. MOT certificates show the mileage from 1990 as being an apparently supported 21,600. The car has recently passed an MOT with flying colours.

The car is fitted with a Kenlowe cooling fan, alternator conversion as well as period Motorola radio which was overhauled by the Vintage Wireless Company.

The car drives extremely well, and performed perfectly on it´s initial trip in our hands - some 250 miles.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
