Early 4200cc 'E' types are becoming hard to find in the market place these days and this is as true of roadsters as it is of the fixed head model.
This particular car has been privately owned on the South coast for the past eight years and we are informed that it has been maintained to a very high standard since it had the bodywork professionally restored during which time a photographic record was kept.
Recently it has had much work done to it including the steering rack, the springs and the shock absorbers; the brakes have been completely overhauled and new chrome wheels and tyres have been fitted. Although it cannot be guaranteed, the mileage at 80,000 miles is believed to be genuine, and it is described by the owner as being in very good condition throughout.

Nice photos of this car in "Jaguar an illustrated history of the world's most elegant car" by Roger Hicks, published by Bramley books.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
