Car at Historics auction 24 November 2018
www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2018-11-24/motorcars/ref-139-1966-jaguar-e-t ...%C3%A9-42-litre/

Lot 279 - 1966 Jaguar E-Type Series I Fixedhead Coupé (4.2 litre)

Chassis Number 1E21012
Engine Number 7E62129
Odometer reading 79,747 miles
Estimate £66,000 - £73,000
Result Sold - £72,800

This genuine UK righthand drive matching numbers Jaguar E-Type Series I underwent a significant restoration project from 2008 until 2013. During that time the bodywork was painstakingly restored and painted in Signal Red. The black interior has also been revitalised and the chromework replaced where necessary, including four new chrome wire wheels. Mechanically, she also underwent extensive repairs including a full engine rebuild and new clutch. To cope with the strains of modern traffic, a number of improvements were made including upgrading the callipers to four-pot and the fitment of ventilated discs. A Kenlow fan and upgraded radiator were also fitted along with an alternator and uprated starter motor. The exhaust system is stainless steel and fuel delivery is via triple Weber carburettors. The result of this significant time and investment is a Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Fixedhead Coupé that looks superb and is very useable.
