This car was in Cape Town in 1982. Registration number CA 7524. Owned by one E.J Van Minnew. He sold the car on the 10/12/1982. Mileage was then 65K miles.(Purchased with 53K miles)
More details are: Body number 4E 23284, Gearbox is EJ5699. Car purchased by E.J Van Minnew 7/11/1979.
I actually have the book Jaguar E type by Chris Harvey with pictures of your car and Mr E.J Van Minnew pasted on the front of the cover. All details about your car are in the front of the book. Car still looks the same except the badge bar is gone Hope this is of interest.
