Recently sold by the Fernhurst Motor Company of Haslemere. Described as a home market 2+2 fixed head coupe that was fully restored in 1990 at 66,500 miles. The engine, gearbox, and rear axle were removed and rebuilt and the car re-painted. Well looked after since the restoration it has done very little mileage. Whilst not perfect this is a very usable car that can be enjoyed immediately. 70,500 miles

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
