The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate issued in 2018 shows this E Type 4.2 litre Coupe was built on 30 September 1964 and dispatched on 16 November 1964 to the distributor for Switzerland, Chaparede in Geneva. Its subsequent history is not known but this car underwent a very careful restoration in the mid 2010s by a specialist in English cars from the West of France. At the owner's request, instead of Opalescent Golden Sand, it was painted in the magnificent shade of Opalescent Silver Blue with classic Black leather upholstery inside.
Today the car is in beautiful condition, both cosmetically and mechanically, as confirmed by the appraisal attached to the file. The engine is not the original one, but the car is faithful to the original configuration. Although the invoices have been lost, the work was obviously carried out with great care. The current owner, an English car enthusiast, acquired it in 2017, just before restoration was completed. Since then he has been using it for trips along the Saint Malo coast. The car has the advantage of the more substantial 4.2 litre engine. This is one of the most enviable versions of the legendary English classic.
