Current bid $18,000 reserve not met, 6 bids 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1965 series one E type. First year of the 4.2 models, and comes with the syncromesh gearbox, and those lovely covered headlights. I rebuilt it about 7 years ago, including bodywork, new chrome, rebore and pistons, head job, all new bearings, seals, new clutch, brakes, new leather interior etc. It's finished in Jaguar Carnival Red, not quite right for the year, but I really liked the colour, and decided that was what I was going with. It starts easily and runs well, and it's fitted with electronic ignition, and a modern electric cooling fan. Numbers match, and It comes with a JDHT certificate. I think it fair to say, this is an amateur restoration, but it looks great, and draws positive comments from most people. It has a Canadian title, and personal inspection is welcome. It is currently licensed and insured, and I drive it very occasionally.

Candidly, my primary interest is Vintage bikes, and since I have only put about 3000 miles on it, I have decided I really can't justify the garage space any longer, there's a small oil leak, the radio isn't currently working, and the paint has some flaws and chips up close, but overall, a pleasing appearance, and you won't be ashamed to have it sitting on your driveway.

Nice to see another early 4.2 FHC. I owned and restored 1E30036 many years ago and, like this one, it shared many details found on the last 3.8-litre cars (cubby holes behind seats, leather shift boot, etc.). Any word on this car's location today?

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
