The car was delivered new to a USAF Doctor in early 1965. He sold the car to another USAF serviceman at the same base in Germany. He shipped the car home to Iowa where it was titled 1-3-1966. I bought the car 6-10-2009 with only 27,309 miles since new. It still wears its original lacquer paint and dark blue leather interior. There was a small repair underneath the boot many years ago which was painted with lacquer also.
It has the original spare and still had the Dunlop tires were installed about 1968. The car is the nicest driving e-type I have ever driven and I plan on never selling the car.

Delivered to US Army Capt. K Wieneke at the factory in Coventry then driven to base in Germany. It came to the US in 1966 and remained with the second owner from 1988 to 2009. I purchased the car un-restored in immaculate original condition in January 2015

This 1965 Jaguar XKE is a Series 1 coupe that was built on March 23, 1965 and purchased in Gzira, Malta. Finished in Opalescent Silver Grey over a Dark Blue interior, the car reportedly was purchased new by a US Army doctor stationed in Germany and soon sold to an Army colleague, who imported the car to Iowa in January 1966 and retained it until 2009. Power comes from a numbers-matching 4.2-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and the car was serviced by the selling dealer last year. This XKE is now offered with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, recent service records, a tool kit, owner’s manual, and a clean California title.

Opalescent Silver Grey is the car’s original shade per the accompanying Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate. The car is equipped with covered headlights, amber taillights, and a single side mirror mounted on the clamshell hood. 15” wire wheels feature two-eared knock-off spinners. A spare tire and a tool kit are included in the trunk.

The interior is trimmed in Dark Blue leather with matching carpets. A set of Porsche-branded floor mats are currently fitted in the footwells.

Equipment includes a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a Becker Europa radio, and Smiths instrumentation. Less than 28,600 miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, of which the selling dealer reportedly has added approximately 200 miles in more than a year of ownership.

The 4.2-liter inline-six is linked with a four-speed synchromesh manual transmission. New engine and transmission mounts were installed last year along with fresh fluids, front ball-joint boots, and tie-rod end boots. An oil change, tuneup, and brake-fluid flush were also performed. Cylinder-head stamping #7E3352-9 matches that listed on the certificate shown below. The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate shows serial numbers for various components and lists the original colors and production date.
