1965 Jaguar E Type 4.2 Series I Coupe in Burgundy with a Black interior. Black Plate California car believed to be one owner with registrations going back to 1970. Matching #'s engine and cylinder head. Superb mechanically. Not smokey or noisy top end or timing chain. Great gearbox, good symchros. Good clutch - very strong driving car. Good straight body. Nice underside. Color changed many years ago and now has older cheap paint on it. Weak chrome - but this is a solid matching #'s, Black Plate, 4.2 Series I Coupe - a rare beast - an easy restoration or a great driver. Much rarer than a Roadster and a much purer design for a smaller investment. This is a car for a knowledgeable buyer.

I bought this car from CF in 2008/9 and have virtually completed a full restoration on it - it now has numerous Eagle upgrades including a full Eagle Sport engine, gearbox, suspension and brakes - now in the desirable colour combination of Gunmetal grey with Jaguar red interior!
