Description:
The car was originally delivered to the USA before being imported to Europe, where the lights were adjusted to meet European regulations.
The odometer shows 91,009 miles, though this is not warranted.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
It has been resprayed in its original shade of cream, over a retrimmed dark blue leather interior. According to the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, the cabin was originally trimmed in red.
It rides on 15-inch wire wheels with two-eared knock-offs, housing four-wheel disc brakes and wrapped in Uniroyal Rain Max tyres.
Equipment includes a three-spoke wood-trimmed steering wheel, Smiths dials, heating and ventilation controls, and a Blaupunkt radio.
Accompanying the vehicle will be its British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, a spare wheel, a wheel mallet, various spare parts, E-Type themed classic car magazines, a handwritten maintenance log, and some recent invoices.
One ignition key will be supplied.
CONDITION
Specific notes from the seller include: a repaired paint chip on the trunk lid is still visible; a blemish above the driver’s door handle; a flaw under the door; the driver's seat has some creases and small abrasions; the headlining near the driver’s window is dirty; the radio does not work.
SERVICE HISTORY
In September 2024 at around 87,000 miles, Hotrod 79 Garage replaced the engine oil, steering rack, tie rod ends, alternator, steering column and drive shaft cross joints, rear suspension rubbers, ignition system and differential oil. The carburettor and rear wheel bearings were also adjusted.
In 2023, the engine oil was changed, and various routine checks were completed on the ignition and carburettor.
The engine oil was replaced in 2022.
In 2021, the radiator, fan, thermostat, hoses, air filter, water pump, engine oil, and wire wheels were replaced.
The spark plugs and engine oil were changed in 2020.
