1965 Jaguar Type E 4,2L coupé

Swedish title

Chassis No 1E30991

Engine No 7E 3799-9

- The forgotten swedish collection

- One owner from new

- Special original engine prepared by the factory

- Incredibly documented car!

- Exceptional original condition, consistent with its original 10,450 km

Under its carmine red look, this 4.2-litre Jaguar E-Type is one of the most extraordinary cars of its kind. First and foremost, it is still in the hands of the same enthusiast who initially ordered it in 1965. Then, this Swedish collector who loves exclusive vehicles didn't settle with the standard series version and instead asked for several features to be added, equivalent to a more sporty preparation as follows: polished cylinder-head and intake ducts, polished crankshaft and connecting rods, alternative final drive 3.07:1 ratios… These factory modifications are detailed in the period Jaguar manual, as well as in the pro-forma sales invoice.

This car has in fact an incredible set of rare documents included: original warranty certificate, Jaguar instruction and race preparation manuals, list of distributors… not to forget a user logbook found in storage compartment which recorded the driver's trips to France and Spain. He stopped in 1972 when the car had covered 10,057km, knowing that it now has only 10,436km on the clock and the fact that it was inactive in Stockholm probably before the 1976 winter.

Incredibly, the engine still has a label with "Special Engine" written on it, placed there by the factory. The tool kit seems intact and unused, with its original tools including a special Lucas key. Given its past, this car is in unique condition with its original paintwork and a very light patinated navy blue upholstery. It is without a doubt one of the most exceptional 4.2L coupes of those still in existence to date. This is certainly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
