Seen on eBay, January 2003. Ad reads:

I hate even writing this add, I love this car but must sell it along with a couple others, its part of my collection and passion. Matching number car. I bought this car several years ago in California where it was sold from the start and is a rust free model if there ever was one. I kept it there at my nephews house for a year or so just to have something to drive around when visiting the wine country. All the rubber on the car was original and rotten so I decided to bring it to my shop and change everything out.......this is the being of an age old problem with gearheads. I pulled the windows and decided that while I was at it to put a new red paint job on the car, so I did.....while it had new paint better put new chrome on entire car.....with all the new stuff might as well have the interior done..... how about new shocks.....new poly bushings.....new catch tank.....update the electric fan on radiator....oh might as well do a top end on the engine. Well, if you can relate to all of this then this is a car of passion for you too. I have receipts which total well over 25k. It not a concours restoration but a drivers restoration, the only thing I wish I had done was put the wider stainless wire wheels and tires on it. The tires on it are the only thing left from California days and are 16 years old but have plenty of tread left.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
