I have been loving the E type since I was 3 years old and now finally I can touch my dream. This car is simply fantastic. No other one so nice and exciting. Listening to the engine running and driving it is an emotion. Thanks E type ! (email)Updated January 26th, 2007. Not legal proof of ownership. |

Car listed on EBay:
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Description: Jaguar : XKE
1966 Jaguar XKE 4.2 Series 1 Coupe
Miles: 56086 Doors: 2 doors
Transmission: Manual Interior: Black
Engine: 6 - Cyl. Year: 1966
VIN Number: 1E31409 Exterior: Red
Vehicle Description: This is a matching numbers car with 56,086 (reported original) miles. It has been resprayed red and the paint is holding up fairly well. There are only a few spots where it is showing some age. There are no signs of bondo or rust in the body or floor. The doors are not sagging and the gaps are good. The windshield appears to be fairly new, the tires have plenty of tread, the door and window rubber is in very good condition. The driver's seat has been reupholstered in black leather, and the passenger seat is original and needs to be redone (a new covering for the passenger seat is included). The dash has also been recovered. The instrument panel and carpets are in good condition. The exterior chrome is all in nice condition (7 out of 10), and the wire wheels could use a cleaning, but are not rusty or peeling. Some of the engine bay/accessories have surface rust on them such as the air cleaner cannister, radiator reservoir, heater box, and other minor miscellaneous items. It is NOT in the frame or battery box. It appears that this car has sat in storage for some years. The driver's interior door panel is loose at the front edge (a common problem) but could be easily fixed. The engine is being worked on by our mechanic to solve a fuel delivery glitch, but otherwise the car runs well. This XKE represents a great opportunity to enjoy an early and desirable Jaguar for a fair price. It has a lot of potential and is worth serious consideration.
Car has 7 bids currently to a price of US $8,750.00 (Reserve not met)

The brakes need attention. The car is going to have a restoration in all parts that show the age keeping at maximum its originality.

Hi Lofty , Impossible, since ymy car has the 4 numbers on the black plate inside engine compartment right side that are fully matched from engine nr., chassis nr. ecc. ecc. All parts are oringinal , car was stored 20 years, then sold to me 12 years ago and nor enigiine neighter chassire were replaced ( I like 100% original...) .Besides car was bought from me from '' Fantasy Junction,'' famous Classi Cars dealer in San Francisco zone with all super original cars, that before selling fully checked this car...... here the link of the car still on Fantasy Juncution site in sold. >> www.fantasyjunction.com/cars/253-Jaguar-XK-E%20Coupe-DOHC%20Straight%206 ( Comments:This is a matching numbers car with 56,086 (reported original) miles. It has been resprayed red and the paint is holding up well.) The only thing not original is the colour. In origin it was a rare black/black and previous owner repait red, I like red but it could be that one day I will repaint with the original black/black. Regards
