Supplied new to Jaguar Cars New York, this car was repatriated to the UK many years ago. It has been subjected to a thorough and detailed nut and bolt restoration by noted marque specialists P T Automotive Engineering that completed last year. A massive history and photographic file comes with the car detailing the fastidious restoration undertaken, the result is close to perfection. The car is painted in Jaguar Primrose Yellow with flawless paintwork throughout. To the interior is black hide along with black carpets retaining the original black leather seats piped in grey that are in superb order.
This is a car that has covered a scant 61,000 miles since new and it drives like it. Indeed Pat Turley, the restorer commented that it was possibly the best driving E Type he had ever experienced, quite an accolade from a man who has driven and worked upon hundreds of such cars. The car sits on triple laced chrome wire wheels with slightly wider than stock rubber mounted on them improving handling and ride whilst being unobtrusive.
