    Sellers description:
    1966 Jaguar XKE 4.2 Coupe
If you're looking for a great investment on an original, great looking, mechanically excellent (though not concourse perfect) daily driver that turns heads at all car shows... you won't find a better car for the money. This car is the fastest XKE I've ever driven.

I've spent over $45,000 (includes price of car), and two years restoring this car to cosmetic driver condition including (receipts supplied): The leather interior is new, the chrome is mostly new, the wire wheels and tires are new, the engine compartment and components are neatly detailed, polished, and the paint is a beautiful burgundy, close to original but prettier although not perfect. 85,000 miles.

Restoring features include but not limited to:

    New leather interior and seats
    Rebuilt gauges
    New chrome
    New wire wheels
    New top
Original jack, manuals, spare wire tire
    New tires
    Detail engine compartment and engine
    New brakes
New brake master cylinder and lines
    Rebuild carburetors
    Rebuild wiper motor
    Rebuild tachometer
    Restore gas tank
    Some new rubber molding
    Replace all fluids
    New choke cable
    New grab handle
    Rebuild radiator
    Clean and adjust horns
    New upper and lower bushings
    New seat belts and kit
    New side mirrors
    New vacuum reservoir tank
    New servo booster
    Rebuilt head (non matching number)
    Paint sugar scoops
    New headlights
    Rebuild steering column and rewire
    Replace old wiring

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
