Owner: David Kendall
I live in Scottsdale with my wife, daughter (a 7th grader), and a great little Bombay cat named Bailey. Other than the E-type, I spend my discretionary money on golf. (email)Updated March 4th, 2003. Not legal proof of ownership. |

Ebay item 9/15/06
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1966-Jaguar-E-type-4-2-Series-I-Coupe-NO-R ...
Opening bid $14,000, no reserve, no bids yet, 9 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Tis car, in my opinion, is the most desirable vintage and body style of the E-types. I have gradually restored it mechanically since buying it in 1998. Total cost of car and repairs is about $44,000 to date (I have all receipts). The following are new or rebuilt:
Engine (rebuilt 1998 – 10,000 miles since)
Picture Frame (new 1998)
Left side Engine Frame (new 1998)
Carburetors (rebuilt 1998)
Transmission (rebuilt 1998)
Front Suspension (rebuilt 1998)
Torsion Bars (new 2002)
Brake master cylinder & Booster (new 2000)
Clutch (new 1998)
Fuel Pump (new SU 2002)
Alternator (new 2005)
Exhaust including resonators (new 2002)
Tach Generator (new 2002)
Cooling Fan (new CoolCat 2006)
Radiator (recored 2000)
IRS and Rear Brakes(rebuilt 2002)
Shocks (new Boge 2000)
Wheel Hubs (new 2002)
Wire Wheels (new Daytons 2002)
Tires (new in 2001 - Bridgestone Turanza V Revo P205/70R15)
Radio (rebuilt Blaupunkt Frankfurt 1999)
The rest of the car is original. All the gauges work and all the numbers match. It is driven weekly and maintained regularly – a solid driver for immediate use or as a starting point for the next level of restoration. The body has a few dings, and the interior is OK, but not great. The seats and dash have tears that will require repair or replacement.
I had planned to keep the car and restore it totally during my lifetime, but I have run out of garage space and energy to complete the project. Good luck to all bidders. You will own a fine automobile if you are successful.
