For sale at Historics auction March 7, 2015
1966 Jaguar E-Type Series I Fixedhead Coupé

Registration FEY 310D
Chassis Number 1E32199
Engine Number 7E-6812-9
Odometer reading 46,587 miles
Estimate £42,000 - £47,000

This matching numbers, 4.2 litre coupé, presented in opalescent blue with re-trimmed blue leather, definitely falls within the latter category. This very original and rust free example is a true driver's car from which it is clear the owner takes more delight in driving and mechanically caring for his pride and joy than hours spent spit and polishing. Imported some six years ago from San Diego in California, the owner, being a good mechanic himself, was immediately impressed by how dry the entire car was and decided to invest in replacing the exhaust with a new stainless steel unit, new master cylinders, clutch master and slave cylinder and new brakes before servicing and then jumping in to enjoy. Accompanied by a valid MoT test certificate together with old certificates dating to 2011 and a V5 registration, this is one of our favourites. It could certainly benefit from a little tlc but, like us, you may just be tempted to jump straight in and get on with enjoying the true E-Type experience.

Note from contributor:
- possible error in engine number, out by one digit
- cannot have been imported 6 years ago as was still in the uSA

Back up for sale on collecting cars, seller is clueless and it seems a little worse for wear.
