The car has been professionally converted to RHD, I think about 1988 when it returned back to the UK.

Ebay item 8/20/11
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Classified ad price: £46,995.00
Sellers description:
Originally sold to the USA as a LHD model in 1966, then imported back to the UK in 1988. The car was professionally converted to RHD by the E-type Centre in 1988, including the full engine modification to UK spec.
The car has the following extensive specification: -
Finished in Opalescent silver/grey metallic with burgundy hide (one of the most desirable colour/trim combinations), recovered seats and boot, rubber fitted mats, alloy radiator and kenlowe cooling fan, coopercraft brakes with stainless steel hoses, lumenition electronic ignition, sports output coil, up-rated fuel pump and stainless steel exhaust system. The car was Waxoyled in March 1999.
The car was subject to a bare metal restoration which was completed in October 2006. This included the treatment of any corrosion, dress any dents and prepare car for a complete re-spray.
Since then it has had both the front and rear suspension replaced (shock absorbers and springs), new track rod ends with new bushes fitted. New discs and brake pads fitted, new heater assembly, new battery, new rubber seals fitted all round, steering and handling set-up, new chrome wire wheels and spinners, assorted chrome work replaced, engine core plugs replaced, rear gearbox seal replaced, engine flushed out and re-tuned, new steering column bushes, new clutch slave cylinder. This work was professionally done at TT Workshops, Wiltshire (now Bristol Engineering - same address).
The car has a complete MOT history from 1988 to present, nearly every tax disc from 1989 to present date and a Jaguar Heritage Certificate. The first MOT certificate (1988) records the mileage as 33138 which supports that the current mileage of just under 39k is totally authentic. The car also comes with its original tool kit (as supplied for the USA market). Also included are UK bills detailing all works carried out on the car since its return to the UK. Although I have up-rated the radio and speakers to a modern Sony CD/radio, I have kept the originals supplied with the car.
